VACATION!!!!!! What The Hell To Pack?!?!?!?!
Its that time of the year for my family again!!!! VACATION!!! As if packing for two children isn't hard enough, try packing your makeup bag......... the condensed version! And that my friends is something I have mastered! I even have it down my must have items!
First things first....... waterproofing! last thing we need is to pop out the water like a scene from Baywatch to have to have it ruined with your eyebrows gone, mascara running and foundation all over your cute swimsuit! And if your wondering why I have a full face at the beach...... because its vacation and lunch can quickly turn into beach........ and it vacation!!!!
My ultimate favorite foundation is Face & Body ($27) from M.A.C! I cant live without it! Its not only my vacation foundation its my everyday foundation! It is a light to medium coverage and can be used on ANY part of the body.... hence the name. It also has SPF 30 in it so it will also help protect your skin! I normally get it 1-2 shades darker to compensate for my tan I will be getting! Makeup Forever also has a waterproof called Face and Body ($40). If you want to go a different route, try a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream. Those two formulas normally have SPF in them. They are also a light coverage and easy to travel with but not waterproof!
If you've read my other posts you should know that I am a great believer in purchasing drug store mascaras, they are only a 6 week product (bacteria grows after that time). So I scale my local drug store for a waterproof mascara with a brush that I like (silicone with small close bristles). Great or that random swim and sweating!
Brows are a must for me.... especially on vacation! My normal vaca look is a strong brow, glow and a playful lip! With all the sweating that happens I need them to be waterproofed! So I not only fill my brows in with a brow pencil but I also set it with a waterproof brow gel. I love the texture of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($21) in Warm Dark Brown. Along with that I set my brows with M.A.C Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set ($16.50) in Bold Brunette.
Along with waterproofing I have some key essentials that I need in my bag. Makes things easy and light! Just for you here is a list!
-Baby wipes
-Moisturizer with SPF 30+
-Waterproof Foundation
-Waterproof Mascara
-Brow Pencil
-Waterproof Brow Gel
-Highlighting powder
-Concealer
-Setting Powder
** I like using a Translucent Powder.... it sets the face without adding heaviness to it!
-Contour Powder
-2 Eyeshadows
**One crease color; M.A.C Saddle and one lid color; Naked Pigment
-Eyeliner (Liquid and pencil)
-2 Lipsticks
**Some of my go to brands are NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ($6). My fav color right now for vacation is Prague (Fuchsia). Also I am sure to have with me Heroine (Bright Violet/Purple), Cream Cup (Nude with a soft pink tint) and always Ruby Woo (Red) from M.A.C ($17)
- Lip gloss
** I keep it simple with something that I can pop over anything.... and for me that is Sugarrimmed from M.A.C ($20)
I know this is a lot to take in, but customize it to your vacation needs! Take some things out.... add some in. Its ok to make a list of things that you want to try for your trip. Its work but trust me.... once you've got that vacation glam down packed... there is no going back!!!!
