A Journey
Hey readers!!! I know its been a while since I've written to you! Lately I have been having a tough time figuring out a good balance of myself to put into this. As a person and mostly as a women, its hard to take that sheet off and expose yourself to the world; And essentially that's what I've been doing! I love writing because it is the only outlet that I can truly express myself properly, and let my point be herd. The past two weeks have been hard because I always question myself as to what it to much, to little or just enough! And I never want to question myself or what I write because then I'm not being truthful to you as the reader. With, that here it goes..................................................................
"I started to realize that there were dry spells and no money coming in. Although money didn't matter because I love what I do, bills needed to be paid. Every Sephora, BOBBI BROWN, Makeup Forever and all cosmetic counters in Bloomingdales, Macys, Nordstrom and everywhere in between received my resume and looked at my portfolio, But no answers. Did they not see my talent or how passionate I was about makeup and beauty? It was discouraging"
That was a little bit from my FIT Essay. Like this blog I had a hard time writing it. From beginning to end I figured something out, like the flame was finally lit! I need to believe in me before anyone else can believe in me. I made this decision on my own and was totally looking for everyone else's approval and i then realized i done need anyone else's approval because I did this for me.
Then it came around where the rejection was getting overwhelming and the "I told you so" kept wandering around like a fly. You know, that one you swat soooo hard that you smack yourself! Well I stopped swatting and put out a shot glass of apple cider viniger and the flies took to it and drowned. I picked myself up and took another route!
All in all my message to alll women and young girls;
Take that sheet off and balance; show the real you that everyone is supposed to see! Love you and believe in you and alllll others will see that and start to believe! Rejection is just so the real thing has room to come into you life! And ALWAYS remember to follow your passion, even if no one else approves; Why? Because you approve!!!!
As always Inspire while being Inspired!
